About Desinno
Desinno is an Auckland-based industrial design and product development studio focused on turning ideas, technical challenges, and practical needs into well-considered, buildable solutions.
We work across the space between design, engineering, prototyping, and making. Our role is to help shape early concepts into products, parts, prototypes, custom equipment, and built outcomes that are not only visually resolved, but also functional, manufacturable, and suitable for real-world use.
Good design is more than appearance. It needs to respond to how something will be used, how it will be made, what materials and processes are appropriate, how parts come together, and how a solution can be tested, refined, and improved. At Desinno, these considerations are part of the process from the beginning.
Our approach combines industrial design thinking with practical engineering judgement and hands-on workshop experience. We use CAD development, physical prototyping, fabrication, testing, and iteration to reduce uncertainty and move projects from abstract ideas toward clear, workable outcomes.
We support clients at different stages of development. Some come to us with a rough idea, sketch, or problem that needs definition. Others need an existing concept developed into CAD, technical drawings, prototypes, supplier-ready documentation, or a limited-run build. We also work on custom design-and-build projects where standard products or off-the-shelf solutions are not the right fit.
Based in Auckland, Desinno works with businesses, makers, startups, manufacturers, and individuals who need practical product development support with a strong understanding of both design intent and build reality.
Our aim is simple: to make the path from idea to outcome clearer, more practical, and better informed — helping clients create things that can be made, used, tested, and improved with confidence.
