Our Services

DESINNO provides consulting and delivery across four core service areas. Deliverables are defined upfront, so you know exactly what to expect—whether you’re starting from scratch or improving an existing product.

Industrial Design

We shape product form and user experience by aligning what people need with real-world constraints—so the design direction is clear, intentional, and defensible.

What it includes

  • User and context understanding (what matters, what doesn’t)

  • Concept exploration and comparison

  • Design direction and decision criteria

  • Product language and CMF (Colour / Material / Finish)

Typical deliverables

  • Concept options with rationale

  • Design direction pack (principles, references, criteria)

  • Key views and proportions / layout guidance

  • CMF guidance and consistency notes

When it’s a good fit

  • You need to define product direction before committing to engineering

  • You want a user-focused outcome that still respects manufacturing constraints

  • You have ideas, but need a clear, comparable set of options

Once direction is clear, we translate design intent into build-ready engineering detail.

Product Engineering & DFM

We convert design intent into engineered detail—so your product can be manufactured, assembled, and controlled with confidence.

What it includes

  • 3D CAD modelling and assemblies

  • Interfaces, tolerances, and key specifications

  • Design-for-manufacture considerations (DFM/DFA as needed)

  • Documentation to support quoting and build

Typical deliverables

  • 3D CAD (parts and assemblies)

  • Drawings / key dimensions and tolerances

  • BOM (Bill of Materials) and specification notes

  • Build-ready tech pack for suppliers

When it’s a good fit

  • You need build-ready CAD and documentation

  • You’re preparing for supplier quotes or production planning

  • Your concept needs engineering detail to become real

Before committing to production, we use prototypes and targeted tests to reduce risk.

Prototyping & Limited Runs

We validate assumptions early through prototyping and testing—then, when appropriate, support limited-run builds with baseline quality checks.

What it includes

  • Functional and ergonomic prototypes

  • Targeted tests to answer the key questions

  • Iteration and refinement with change tracking

  • Limited-run build support (where it fits the project)

Typical deliverables

  • Prototypes and build notes

  • Test plan (lightweight) and test reporting

  • Revision notes / change log

  • Limited-run build support with baseline QC

When it’s a good fit

  • You want to confirm fit, function, or usability before production

  • You need evidence to support a key design decision

  • You’re moving toward a small batch or limited release

For bespoke projects and small batches, we can take the work through to build and quality oversight.

Custom Design & Build

For bespoke projects, small batches, and custom physical features, we combine design and practical build oversight—so the outcome stays aligned with intent, constraints, use case, and quality.

Services

What it includes

  • Custom products, fixtures, equipment, and built solutions

  • Physical features designed around a specific space, user flow, or use case

  • Visitor-facing displays, themed elements, and outdoor model features where appropriate

  • Build coordination and supplier/trade interfaces, where required

  • On-workshop build capability for appropriate scopes

  • Quality oversight and practical problem-solving

Typical deliverables

  • Custom design package, as required by scope

  • Concept direction, layout notes, and build intent

  • Build documentation and fabrication notes

  • Material, finish, and installation considerations

  • Supplier/trade coordination notes, as applicable

  • QC checks and handover information

When it’s a good fit

  • You need a tailored solution rather than a standard product

  • The project involves a physical object, space, display, or built feature

  • The outcome needs to be practical, buildable, and commercially realistic

  • You want design continuity through to fabrication, small-batch build, or installation support

  • You need clear oversight between design intent, suppliers, build quality, and handover

If you’re not sure which service fits best, a brief message is enough—we’ll help clarify the next steps.

Specialist Applications

Visitor-Facing Features & Themed Installations

Some custom design-build projects are not standard products. They are physical features designed for public, retail, museum, park, or family-attraction environments.

This can include:

  • Outdoor architectural models

  • Themed display features

  • Miniature attraction concepts and pilot builds

  • Photo spots and interactive physical features

  • Educational or museum-style display elements

  • Small-series visitor products and collectible items
